Terms of use

Last updated October 6, 2026. Daphne is provided by Dowling Development LLC, an Alabama limited liability company (“we”). By using Daphne you agree to these terms.

What Daphne is

Daphne builds grocery lists and meal ideas from your preferences and from product information your store publishes. It's a planning tool, not a store. You buy groceries from the store directly.

Prices and products

Prices, availability and product details come from the store and can change or be wrong. The price at checkout is the one that counts.

Allergies, health and nutrition

Daphne is not medical or nutrition advice and isn't a substitute for a doctor or dietitian. Allergen screening is limited to what store listings show (allergen panels, ingredient lists and product names) and can miss cross-contact, missing information, and recipe changes. Always read the package label. You're responsible for deciding what's safe for you and your household to eat.

The clean score and AI

The clean score is Daphne's own estimate of how processed a product is, based on its ingredients and nutrition label. Meal plans and add-ons are produced with AI and can contain mistakes. Use your judgment.

Your account

Keep access to your email secure, since it's how you sign in. Don't misuse the service, attempt to scrape or overload it, or use it for anything unlawful. Daphne may limit or suspend accounts that do.

Premium

Daphne has a free plan and a paid plan, Daphne Premium. Premium features are free during the pilot.

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store (monthly or yearly). The price is shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings; refunds are handled by Apple.

Allergen screening, your privacy controls (export and delete) and Stretch it are never part of a paid plan.

No warranty; limits on liability

Daphne is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Dowling Development LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for harm arising from products you buy or eat, including allergic reactions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama, except where the law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes and contact

These terms may change; the date above will tell you when. Questions: [email protected].
